The Willcox Lightwave Saber VL model features a Swamp Ash body with resonant chambers to enhance the tone, as vibration is key to coaxing the most sound from the wood. VLs include beautiful Flamed Maple tops, black basswood composite fingerboards and come in a variety of stunning, transparent finishes. If you’re considering a fretless bass, the VL (available with Lined or Unlined fingerboards) is renowned for its highly convincing upright bass tone. The Fretless Saber VL comes with a sound hole while the Fretted Saber does not.
