Product Description

Welcome to Musicdungeon. You are looking at a great piece. This is the Vintage Vox Italy Mark IV Electric Bass Guitar. 34" scale. 1.77" nut width. 8 lbs 4 oz.
Made only from 1965 to 1968, the Mark IV's teardrop body shape is iconic and instantly recognizable.
The Vox teardrop style was used by many notable musicians in the 60's- including Brian Jones of the Rolling Stones.
The woods here have aged nicely, resulting in excellent natural resonance, the entire length of the instrument comes alive with every note.
Dual single coils pickups grab that natural tone and add some nice mids while retaining clarity. The pickups are positioned 'middle' and 'neck' enabling great warmth while the single coils, by design, enable good note articulation.
The neck here has mass for tone transfer while retaining a comfortable feel- .90" deep at the 5th fret with a flat C profile. The teardrop body design allows uninhibited access to the entire fretboard.
The look here is classic- sunburst finish, Mark IV pickguard, bound fingerboard, large dot inalys, and chrome hardware.
This Vox is in good overall condition- typical marks and finish crazing you expect on a bass of this vintage.
The frets here are clean- set up with action of just over 3/32" at the 12th fret low E.
