Custom Ibanez RB800 B 1987 Red

This is a super cool 80's glam metal bass. This instrument was particularly difficult to photograph w/ my little point and shoot. I have posted photos taken inside & outdoors both w/ & w/out a flash. I feel that the pictures taken w/out the flash represent the color best. The photos taken with the flash make the finish look like fire engine red (it is not fire engine red). I have done my best to show the dings and scratches. Please look at all the photos carefully. The D string tuner was missing the screw that holds the tuning key on the machine head. I found a screw at the hardware store that fits, except it is not a Phillips head. I photographed the neck pocket w/ my I-phone, but I was not able to upload that picture. I can try to send any potential buyer this photo directly. The neck pocket simply has the RB-800B inked on stamp & an Ibanez paper shim at the base of the body (this was standard operating procedure at the time for both their bass' & guitars). As best I can tell, the electronics work like this: The pot closest to the G String is the master volume. The pot below that volume is the pickup blend control which allows you to use both pickups when in the center (click) position. Adjusting up or down gives you more jazz pickup or more precision pickup. The other 2 pots are the treble & bass controls for both pickups. These active electronics are all working fine. I just put in a new 9V battery. The case is the original late eighties grey thermometer hard shell. All the latches work. I have not done any set up work with this baby & she plays very well.
