Product Description

This as an early '60s Framus 5/150 Star Bass. This is the model bass made famous by Bill Wyman of the Rolling Stones.

It is from the Framus “Thinline” series. The body is only 2 inches deep.

It is in very good shape for a vintage bass guitar that’s over 50-year-old. That’s not to say it’s perfect. The chrome is worn from the two pickups; there are dings and scratches; there is some checking in the lacquer finish (though no cracks in the wood); the pots need cleaning; and the action is high because the bolt-on neck needs to be re-set. The neck re-setting is an easy job for any competent guitar repairman. I’ve tried to show the dings and finish checking in the pictures.
