Product Description

Egmond/Rosetti Bass 9 bass guitar made in the Netherlands during the late fifties/early sixties. Quite a few solid and hollow bodied guitars and basses were offered and they often show the name Rosetti which was actually the importrs name - Egmond was the maker.
This is a very rare "Bass 9" - the only one I have ever seen. It has a blue/grey vinyl covering to the body showing a design of shapes with a cntre binding. Th scratchplate and headstock face are in an orange/yellow mother-of-pearl style and there are two chromed pickups which sit in black rubberised "cups". There are volume and tone controls with replacement knobs, a three-way pickup switch and a rhythm/solo type switch. The bridge still has its cover and the tailpiece is fine but has some light rust on it.
The neck is is maple and bolts on with a 24 fret fingerboard including zero fret. The tuners are original Van Ghent covered tuners and very sought after; in fact this bass is all original apart from the volume and tone knobs; it looks great and plays well.
