House of Stone Instruments is thrilled to bring you this amazing, single owner, 1959 Fender Precision bass.   You will see pics of this actual bass in action with the owner playing it throughout his professional career.   It has the coolest patina, and players mojo.    You can even see in the pics his style of playing it wore right through the wood down near the bridge pickup.   Impossible to relic the coolness contained in this bass.   In his touring career, the owner brought the bass selectively on various gigs all across North America over the years.    In the early 1970's, it had a refret, but that is almost impossible to tell because the frets are so old now.   He only ever plays the bass with flat wounds so there's still lots of life left in them.   She's a beauty!  It's all set up perfectly and is one of the smoothest playing basses ever.   The neck has that nicely hand polished feel without feeling "sluggish" because of the finish wearing off.  Somehow this one feels just perfect.  Pots date to the 16th week of '59 and the body is date stamped July '59.  As you may recall, during 59 they were not using date stamps on the neck ends due to some Fender employee scribbling issues - lol.  Comes in the original hardshell tweed case which is in great shape.   Comes with the original pickup/ashtray covers too (not pictured) and the bridge ashtray even has all the foam still inside in perfect condition as it was never installed on the bass.  Also comes with a leather Martin strap that he toured with for years.
