Vintage 1950's Kay/Silvertone A-Style Mandolin w/ Case, Natural, Spruce Top, Mahogany Back/Sides, Made in USA, Professionally Repaired, Set Up & Cleaned, Very Good Playing Condition!!!
Today, we're very pleased to offer this Vintage 1950's Kay/Silvertone A-Style Mandolin w/ Original Case! It shows noticeable cosmetic wear one would expect with a vintage instrument, yet is in very good playing condition. Serviced, set up and cleaned! The body shows a noticeable crack down the middle of its top that was professionally repaired by our very own Master Luthiers. Minor cracks in the top are evident and normal scratches/dings can be seen throughout the body. Noticeable oxidation can be found on tailpiece. Pickguard, nut and tuning machines are replacements. Very structurally sound and aesthetically pleasing with its cool, vintage vibe. TONS of mojo! No brand name or serial number could be found anywhere on the instrument, so an exact make/model/date of manufacture could not be determined . A very cool vintage instrument that looks, plays and sounds great! Vintage chipboard case shows noticeable cosmetic wear, yet is fully functional with working latches/hinges.
