“Hau’oli” means “happy” in Hawaiian, and it’s a good description for the sound of this inexpensive but high-quality tenor ukulele. The ukulele was created in the Hawaiian Islands in the 1800s and is once again enjoying one of its periodic massively popular resurgences in all kinds of pop songwriting and performance. The Hau’oli is an ideal choice for musicians who want a much higher-quality ukulele than the typical low-priced models, but still need to make their uke purchase a reasonably priced one. You get the advantage of a mahogany body and neck, the fuller sound projection of scalloped fan bracing, and the improved sustain of a bone nut and bridge saddle.
