Custom Windstruck Didgeridoo #72, Spalted Maple

This is a brand new, totally unique didgeridoo handmade by Mike Windstruck in Michigan. The body, we believe, is spalted maple, the mouthpiece is comprised of two other lovely hardwoods, we are not sure which kind, though!

Mike hand selects each piece of wood (not from the lumber yard, from the forest!!!), splits, hollows, and then reintegrates the two halves. The natural and beautiful contours of the wood are maintained...

It's then generously sealed with polyurethane coat (inside and out), making it totally impervious to weather and humidity changes - take it out to the festival or the beach, even play it out in the rain, no problem!

This one plays in the key of F#. Advanced players can achieve multiple different drones with Windstruck didgeridoos, due to the multiple contours carved into the mouthpiece. 

This didge has a permanent wood mouthpiece with a very comfortable diameter and playing surface.

Didgeridoo playing involves circular breathing technique which allows for continuous playing with no break in the sound production. When you get quite good at it you can play didgeridoo for hours without stopping. Circular breathing also adds a rhythmic element to your playing. Extended techniques include singing into the didge, creating all kinds of earthy growls and heavenly overtones.
