Featuring a mahogany cutaway body, a hand-selected solid A+ Sitka spruce soundboard, and FST2M forward shifted scalloped X bracing, the AB60CE delivers a full, open tone, a massive low-end, a nice punch and superb resonance. The comfortable 32"-scale neck is carved from mahogany and capped with a rosewood fingerboard.

Perfect for acoustic jams, gigs and recording, the Alvarez AB60CE comes equipped with high-quality onboard B-BAND-designed SYS550 electronics. Designed to faithfully amplify the natural acoustic voice of the bass, the SYS550 electronics boast a pro-level EQ and a patented under saddle electret film pickup that eliminates synthetic or processed sounds that are often heard with a Piezo or other style pickups. The electronics also feature an accurate built-in chromatic digital tuner.
