Custom Vega Folk Pro 5 string open back 1961 sunburst

This is a rare variant of the Vega Folk Pro Open Back 5 string Banjo. In 1961 the Vega company tried manufacturing some folk pro models with a flange instead of the normal bracket band. It did not sell well and the company went back to the traditional bracket band . I have seen a few of these over the years. It is a rare banjo. This banjo plays and sounds very good. The neck is straight with very nice string action. The truss rod is working properly and the frets are in excellent condition. The banjo is all original and there are no cracks or repairs.
