Custom The Ben Franklin $100 Bill Tin Bank Canjo - One string, easy and fun to play!

Bigger isn't always better, but this is one case where it definitely is!

This is a special model of canjo, which features a nice big tin can resonator that has a $100 bill design. These tins were originally intended for use as banks, but we repurposed them into these distinctive musical instruments. We call this the "C Note" model, both because that's one of the slang terms for a $100 bill, and also because the single string on these is tuned to a high C pitch! The custom laser-engraved hardwood can insert bears the brand name and text.

These canjos feature hardwood necks fretted diatonically (like a dulcimer) which means that most of the sharp and flat notes are left out - this makes them a lot easier to play! We also have a free library of tablature (musical notation) specifically for these fun little instruments - .

The can size is 4 1/4" in diameter by 6 7/8" long. The overall length of the instrument is 29 1/2" and it has a 24 1/2" scale length. We string these with a .012" plain steel guitar string.
