Custom The Vaudeville Ukulele - featuring "1¢" Sound Holes and Vintage Coins

She started her Vaudeville career as Candace Miller and she could kept the audiences enraptured with her songs of unrequited love.  When she picked up her ukulele and delivered her encore, the audience would pitch pennies on the stage. Some nights, coins filled the makeshift platform and the brilliance of copper gleamed in the glow of lanterns hung from the tent.  

Soon after, Candace Miller became "Penny Candy" and her show was the must-see attraction from Carson City to Des Moines.

We created the new Vaudeville Uke in honor of the legend.

With a nice rich, loud tone, laser-cut and engraved sound holes and two vintage U. S. "Wheat Penny" one-cent coins in the headstock, this ukulele is perfect for both young and old.

The body of the uke is a premium all-wood Perdomo "Champagne" box. We decided to use the thinner bottom panel of this box as the soundboard of the instrument, because the top of the box is a bit too thick for optimal tone and volume.
