Custom Framus Triumph 1958 Gold

1958 (?) Framus Triumph Solid Body Electric Upright Bass! Sometimes called the Bohnenstange, or Bean Ploe in German. The Solid maple bass is in good to very good condition given it's age, missing the end pin and shoulder offset rest. The end pin would be easy to have fabricated. This is a rare bass in the USA, we have not seen another, nor had anyone passing by our booth at the guitar show in New York last week, dealers and patrons alike. It plays and sounds great, with the single coil pickup at the end of the fretless board with volume control. We are asking $2500 plus $200 shipping. It comes with a hand made case by our own Alex Gray to safely house it. We are happy to adjust shipping should it go for less, but the package will be oversized and at least 30 total weight. Local pickup would be most welcome.  It is a solidly built with tradition scroll style head stock and beefy tuning machines that work just fine.
