Hello. Up for sale is one of those really nice Hondo P-Bass that was made in Japan by Tokai circa 1980.

These Hondo II Professional Series P-Basses were only made for about a year in 1980 and 1981. This one in black and has a rosewood neck. They are very high quality and are very close in construction to a Fender from the '75-'77 period.

This is the only rosewood neck version that I've seen. These basses are fairly rare to start with. This one is original and in good condition with a good bit of player wear and tear. It has an old Duncan Quarter Pounder pickup and old by now USA pots. The pots are split shaft and the knobs are old USA Tele or P-Bass knobs that have tarnished.

This bass weighs a little over 9 lbs. The body is solid and the routing is like a Fender. The bass plays great and sounds good. The neck is a big "C' neck and its straight. The truss rod works.

A hard case is included that is in good condition . The little feet on the side are missing.

The Tokai version of this bass is listed as high as $1100.
