History of Timothy Ferguson and The OrionArts Studio.
Born and raised at the foot of the Rocky Mountains in the Montana, a builder from the beginning. Timothy enjoy his youth running free through the Gallitan Valley. Adventuring wherever his feet could carry him. At a very young age he was creating and building different projects with his Father Ren. This allowed for a great variety of craftsmanship skills to begin development. Using these skills he found work at a neighbors shop creating furniture and other wonderful crafts.
Time passed and Timothy did as well. He graduated High school in Belgrade, Montana. After the short summer, he moved to Portland Oregon to begin studies in Architectural Drafting. Schooling just wasn't in the cards for Timothy, and he quickly found himself contemplating his future.
Quickly his father Ren offered Tim the opportunity to accompany him to California to a Music Convention called The NAMM Show. Timothy's Sister Robin was attending the same show, working with a company that allowed her to cruise the floor with her Bro. Whilst walking the expansive show something clicked. Something new had fallen into place and a New Dream had begun to develop.
Timothy learned something amazing during this adventure, that his father Ren was a Hero to many people all around the world. People cared enough about his father to search him out in an attempt to get an Autograph from THE Ren Ferguson.
This event changed Timothy's outlook on the his father, creating the desire inside to never let go of the wonderful skills his family has painstakingly acquired. Upon returning to Portland, Timothy reached out to his father asking if it would be possible to begin an apprenticeship under Ren's tutelage. In agreement that they could begin in a few years time.
October of 2005 Timothy returned to Montana. Setting up camp at his Father and Mothers home in Belgrade, Timothy lived in a Tipi on the back end of the property during the first three years of the apprenticeship. This allowed him to keep housing and commuting cost to a minimum. During the years learning the trade the time passed quickly.
Timothy moved near to the City of Bozeman in the spring 2009. Setting up his studio in the garage, and also on his grandfathers antique library table in the dining room . Spending the next few years designing and creating one of a kind embellishments for the Ukuleles he manufactured out of this setup. During these years OrionArts was able to build special hand inlaid projects for the Gibson Acoustic Guitar Company located in Bozeman. Also assisting other local builders and musicians in there desires to enrich the instruments they were creating.
In the year of 2014, Ren Ferguson called upon Timothy's skills to assist the re-establishment of the Guitar Brand GUILD Guitars. The company had recently been purchased by the Cordoba Music Group and moved from Hartford, Connecticut to Oxnard, California. Timothy spent the next six months building the tools and machinery, while assisting Ren in the layout of the new Guild USA Manufacturing Facility. During his visits to California he decided a change of scene could provide opportunity for him and the OrionArts Studio.
In 2015 Timothy moved to Oxnard California, setting up his studio to create art in all the old fashion ways.
He is very excited to bring you along into these adventures with Him.
Thank you for your consideration of this wonderful opportunity to enrich your life.
